Washington Maritime Blue
I was the lead UI designer on a brand refresh for a maritime nonprofit in Washington State. I collaborated with one other designer to create new branding with custom design elements that would extend to their website and marketing assets.
UI Design
I designed the home page to feel like you are diving deeper and deeper into the ocean as you learn more and more about the organization. The new color palette and side navigation element help to give the effect of diving in.
I reorganized the content of their home page to better tell the story of the great work they do.
I created new UI elements inspired by the maritime industry such as the wave underline, the new top and side navigation bars, the arc section dividers, and use of diagonal lines to mask imagery. I assisted in refining the illustrations of mountains, islands and waves to give the brand a unique touch and sense of place in the Puget Sound region.
